IT Public Sector Convergence: Economic Development thru Public Sector Infrastructure The National Minority Technology Council has invited Public and Private sector experts together to continue the important discussion of the efficient utilization of Virginia's Public Assets. Our goal is increase our joint awareness and to create new stakeholders. There is already agreement that Virginia has taken steps to lead the nation in e-government. We must take the steps to marry infrastructure with application. It is critical for Virginia to understand how, as a national leader in Public Sector IT Convergence, we can exploit our unique position and reduce our infrastructure cost by expanding our "client" reach. We will find out how VITA's new combined infrastructure can provide added value beyond the 90 Agencies they currently serve.
